KOS Rock Garden
Meet KID ROCK!
Introducing… KID ROCK, the Kids of Steele Rock Snake! We challenge you to paint some radical rocks to add to the body of this rockstar. How? Find some rocks out and about or buy from your favorite home improvement store or Amazon (the smoother the better!), grab some acrylic paint, and GET CREATIVE!
Remember, the KOS rock garden is open to patients of all ages and genders, so put yourself in the shoes of a toddler, tween or teen going in for what may be an uncomfortable appointment and create something that would make their day a little easier. Patients LOVE to see all of the unique designs, and many parents have shared that choosing a rock makes their doctor’s appointments much more bearable. IDEA: Paint a picture or design on one side of the rock and add an inspirational word, quote or phrase on the back. TIP: Paint pens work GREAT for detail!
CHALLENGE: Paint any number of rocks to add to KID ROCK from now until our KOS End-of-Summer Social on Sunday, September 17th. You can take the painted rocks directly to the KOS Rock Garden at the Banner Children’s Multi-Specialty Clinic at 535 N Wilmot Rd OR bring them to the summer social. Remember take a photo of your rocks (with your kiddos showing off their masterpieces if you’re willing!) and send to photos@kidsofsteele.org or post on FB or Insta and tag @kidsofsteele
Thanks so much for rockin’ with us!
Bring a smile to a patient’s face by participating in this ongoing service project!
Here’s what to do:
- Get creative! Paint rocks with a mandala, an inspiring message, beautiful artwork, or whatever you think a patient would love.
- Take a photo of your creations and send it to photos@kidsofsteele.org so we can share the love with others.
- Place your painted rocks in the KOS Rock Garden just outside of the clinic located at 535 N. Wilmot Rd, Suite 101.
Thanks to all who have painted creative and uplifting rocks to add to the garden. The patients are LOVING getting to choose a rock when they come into the clinic for treatment!
