KOS + BOC COLLABORATIVE SERVICE EVENT

We loved collaborating with Beads of Courage to offer a meaningful service event 
exclusively to 2023 Kids of Steele member families!

In looking for more ways to offer patient service to our own KOS member families, we loved the idea of a collaboration with another local Tucson organization, Beads of Courage, that shares our desire to offer unwavering support to pediatric patient families. Thus, we were excited to continue the KOS+BOC Collaborative Service Event! On Sunday, June 4th, KOS families traveled through multiple stations as they engaged in meaningful patient service activities!

Beads of Courage, Inc. is a non-profit organization that started right here in Tucson! Like Kids of Steele, Beads of Courage is dedicated to improving the quality of life for children and teens coping with serious illness, their families, and the clinicians who care for them. They do this through their community and encouragement Arts-in-Medicine Programs, which create a context for caring transactions to transpire.

Every time a bead is given courage is honored, suffering is alleviated, resilience is strengthened, and the experience of human caring is affirmed.”

By participating in our KOS+BOC collaborative service event, you can provide the opportunity for COURAGE to be honored, HOPE to be given, and JOY to be experienced.

We can’t wait to see our current member families on Sunday, June 4th at 5:30pm! We encourage you to stay onsite after the event to enjoy a yummy dinner at one of the locally-owned Union Hospitality Group restaurants in the plaza. It should be a beautiful evening… we hope you can join us in offering support to others!
